It’s Frankie and Johnny drinking lemonade under a shade tree with Nina Simone, with a dash a fiddle and a splash of moonshine.
Foxes In The HenHouse is five audacious women with stunning three-part harmonies and mad instrumental skills.
It’s the lovechild of Doc Watson and Mavis Staples—a soulful quartet at the intersection of Americana, country, blues, jazz, gospel, bluegrass, cowboy, and swing. Real roots music, for good times . . . and hard times, too. And they do it with the accent on the upbeat.
