About the event
A young divorced woman finds coding and Jesus in the 1980s, bringing her son along on a journey through faith and logic. Award-winning playwright Joe Hutcheson (Miss Magnolia Beaumont Goes to Provincetown) brings his new play The Mother Code to the California alongside Cheryl King (a regular of the Santa Rosa Theatre scene) in this Readers Theatre-style workshop performance directed by Brian Rickel. Hutcheson and King spent many years producing theatre together in New York City at Stage Left Studio, including curating the Left Out Festival, celebrating new work by LGBTQ+ artists. The Mother Code explores the relationships between mothers and sons and the clashes between what we know and what we believe.
