The Bruthas
Legendary band The Bruthas brings funky soul and R&B music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Featuring Willy Jordan (drums), Larry Jones (bass), and Ron Lacey (keyboards) and guests.
Bobby Young
Lifelong guitarist Bobby Young has played and recorded with multiple blues artists, most notably John Lee Hooker. His band, The Bobby Young Project, was named Blues Band of the Year in 2016 by the Northern California Entertainment Music Awards.
Wendy DeWitt
Keyboardist and Santa Rosa native Wendy DeWitt is famous for her boogie woogie and blues playing. She regularly tours national and international festivals and also produces the annual San Francisco Boogie Woogie Festival which draws artists from around the world. She works closely with Kirk Harwood.
Jon Otis
Jon is a Grammy-nominated drummer, songwriter and arranger, known for combining African and African-Caribbean rhythms with classic jazz and R&B. He played drums in his father's group The Johnny Otis Show in the early ‘70's and has toured world-wide with musicians including his brother Shuggie, Solomon Burke, Elvin Bishop and Eddie “Cleanhead” Vinson.
Andy Santana
Veteran West Coast musician Andy Santana is a vocalist and harmonica player with a sophisticated urban style. He’s also an accomplished songwriter/guitarist with an unusual gift for lyrics and creating memorable melodies. He performs regularly with his band, The West Coast PlayBoys.
Kirk Harwood
Jazz-trained drummer and vocalist Kirk Harwood worked with Norton Buffalo (Steve Miller), Huey Lewis, Tommy Thomsen and Roy Rogers, before teaming up with Wendy DeWitt in 2012. Inspired by Buddy Rich, Joe Morello and David Garibaldi, he has more than 30 years’ experience of playing West Coast blues, rock and soul.
Blues Defenders
Regular Pro Jam hosts at The California, The Blues Defenders are a powerful, passionate group of seasoned musicians formed from some of the best Bay Area blues bands around.
